piping works

February 14, 2015April 14, 2015 ~ charissa

we used poly and pvc piping to connect from the main water line into our land to be used for the shower. had to dig the 60 meter trench, lay in all the pipes and learn to connect them then fix it up to the shower.

What looks like a plain plot of land (in this photo) is actually a whole year's worth of work to transform it from a swamp that was not accessible to a land that we can put to good use (for a syntropic agroforestry experiment). From digging water channels and a pond to filling the area up with soil/sand from other parts of our land, it's been an entire journey to just get to this point.
Teamwork makes the dream work. Kids, doggies, neighbours. Everyone is welcomed here 😁 It takes a village, and we are always in need of one.
The land is hardly ever clear like this. But it got a fresh cut yesterday so we could use the cuttings to add to compost. Time to grow some trees and begin.

Cucumbers growing 😁 Although not nearly enough for us all to enjoy. The kids/vultures eat them up in a minute. šŸ˜‚
